Growing up in the 90's I was a huge fan of "professional" wrestling.. I loved that stuff.. I recently began re-watching all the old WWF and WCW events with my daughter and it has been great.. a lot of great memories.. from the Mega Powers.. to the Hogan Warrior Title vs Title.. to the Sting vs Flair wars.. to.. "The New Generation of the WWF".. Yesterday we lost one of the LEGENDS of "The New Generation" The Bad Guy Razor Ramon.. aka Scott Hall passes away yesterday..
Scott Hall had a minor career in the WCW as the Diamond Stud in the early 90's.. however he really hit it big as Razor Ramon in the WWF in the mid 90's.. There was a very clear line in wrestling at that time.. Heroes on one side.. Villains on the other side.. the Face's and the Heels.. the Good Guys.. and The Bad Guys.. however.. Scott Hall.. was such a charming charismatic person that even though his character was supposed to be a Heel.. the fans LOVED him.. they ate it up.. his "Bad Guy" was the first real anti-hero of professional wrestling.. it was so glaring Vince re-wrote him as Face.. even though he was not your typical Face.. he was not the blond haired blue eyed all American boy that Hogan or Lugar were.. he was gritty.. he was rude.. he was arrogant.. and he did it so well.. Scott will forever be a groundbreaker.. he changed the industry.. without him.. there would be no Stone Cold.. without the foundation laid by Scott Hall in the 90's we would not have the industry we have today.. (and don't even get me started on The Outsiders and the N.W.O.)
Today we mourn the loss of a true legend in the world of sports entertainment.. obviously as a mere fan I did not know the man personally.. but.. the testimonies of those who did speak volumes of who Scott Hall was.. As Scott Hall has said 'The last perfect person to walk the planet they nailed to a cross".. He was not a perfect person.. he had his demons.. but.. he worked hard to overcome them.. he is the embodiment of getting knocked down and getting back up.. he said numerous times he was not a perfect person.. but he was however the perfect "Bad Guy"
